Walter was the oldest of 4 siblings born to Benjamin and Clara Jane Hunt, who married in Belfast in 1876.
Both parents were born in Belfast, Benjamin in 1846 and Clara in 1857.
Benjamin passed away in 1890, in Chilcomb near Winchester. Clara then married Henry Miles in Winchester in 1894.

Walter, a blacksmith’s apprentice, attested on 20 April 1895. He married Florence Annie Forder in Portswood in 1912, and the couple had one son….

Florence was born in Stockbridge in 1889. After Walter’s death, she married Reginald S. King in Southampton in 1919.
Florence passed away in the city in 1941.
Very little is known about the circumstances of Walter’s death, although it appears he accidentally drowned and his body was never recovered.
