Henri was the oldest of 6 siblings born to Alfred Henri and Alice Elizabeth Cotrel (nee Dawson), who married in Horsham in 1891.
Alfred was born in Richmond, Surrey in 1872; Alice was also born in 1872 but in Southampton. She passed away in the city in 1905.
The family were living at 31 Orchard Place, St. Mary’s at the time of the 1901 Census.
