Hector Henry
Hector was boarding with the Fall family (his sister) at 53 Heath Road, Hounslow at the 1911 Census.
The 8th Royal Fusiliers joined the 36th Brigade in the 12th (Eastern) Division and landed at Boulogne in late May 1915.
On 23 June, the division took over a section of front line near Ploegsteert Wood and they were in action at the Battle of Loos in September 1915.
Hector perished during the fighting that continued after the official end of the Battle of Loos.
The Division lost nearly 3000 men at Loos and retired behind the lines near Bethune for a rest and restaffing.
Interestingly, Hector left £212 15s 7d specifically to his mother; this implies that his parents may well have divorced before Hector’s death.
